Fan Count and Speed Comparison
Fan Configuration
The TECKNET 15.6-Inch 9-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad offers significantly more airflow coverage than the TECKNET 12-17" Triple-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad. Product B features nine high-performance fans designed for 360-degree all-around cooling. This dense array helps dissipate heat quickly across the entire surface. In contrast, Product A uses only three 110 mm fans. While these three fans are effective, they cover a smaller area. If you have a larger laptop or generate significant heat, the nine fans in Product B provide a more comprehensive cooling solution. The triple-fan setup in Product A is simpler and may suffice for smaller devices or lighter tasks.
Maximum Fan Speed
When it comes to raw power, the TECKNET 15.6-Inch 9-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad outperforms the TECKNET 12-17" Triple-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad. Product B allows fans to run at up to 2600 RPM. This higher speed enables faster heat removal during intense gaming or heavy workloads. Product A operates at a maximum of 1200 RPM. This speed is sufficient for standard cooling but lacks the aggressive airflow of the nine-fan model. The stepless speed control in Product B also lets you adjust this high speed precisely. For users who prioritize maximum thermal performance, the higher RPM in Product B is a clear advantage over the more moderate speed of Product A.
Height Adjustment
Ergonomics differ notably between these two cooling pads. The TECKNET 15.6-Inch 9-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad provides five distinct height settings. It can raise up to 6 inches and tilt up to 34 degrees. This wide range allows you to find a comfortable viewing angle for long work sessions or gaming. The TECKNET 12-17" Triple-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad offers only two adjustable height settings. While this basic adjustment improves comfort, it lacks the flexibility of the five-level system. If you need precise ergonomic positioning to reduce neck strain, Product B’s extensive adjustment options are superior to the limited settings in Product A.
Laptop Size Compatibility
Compatibility varies slightly depending on your device size. The TECKNET 12-17" Triple-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad supports laptops ranging from 12 to 17 inches. This wider range means it can accommodate larger gaming laptops or desktop replacements that exceed 15.6 inches. The TECKNET 15.6-Inch 9-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad is designed for 12 to 15.6-inch laptops. It will not fit laptops larger than 15.6 inches comfortably. If you own a 16-inch or 17-inch laptop, Product A is the only viable option. For smaller laptops within the 12-15.6 inch range, both models work, but Product A offers broader size support.
Noise Level
Acoustic performance is a key factor for many users. The TECKNET 15.6-Inch 9-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad is engineered for whisper-quiet operation, with noise levels kept below 40 dB. This ensures a peaceful environment for work or gaming, even at higher speeds. The TECKNET 12-17" Triple-Fan Laptop Cooling Pad description notes that its fans operate quietly but does not provide a specific decibel rating. Without exact data, we cannot confirm if it matches the sub-40 dB standard of Product B. However, Product B explicitly guarantees low noise, making it the safer choice for users sensitive to fan sound.
Which TECKNET Cooling Pad Fits You
Users needing maximum cooling power
Product B uses nine fans reaching 2600 RPM for 360-degree coverage. This high speed and fan count provide stronger airflow than the three fans in Product A. The alloy mesh surface also aids heat dissipation. If you run heavy tasks, this model handles the thermal load better.
Those with larger laptops up to 17 inches
Product A supports laptops from 12 to 17 inches. Product B only fits up to 15.6 inches. If you own a 16 or 17-inch machine, Product A is the only option that covers your screen width. It ensures full coverage for larger chassis sizes without overhang.
Users wanting adjustable ergonomics
Product B offers five height adjustment levels, raising up to 6 inches. Product A only has two settings. The wider range allows you to find a precise viewing angle. The 34-degree tilt also helps reduce neck strain during long work sessions compared to the limited options in Product A.
Buyers preferring a slim design
Product A is thinner at 1.06 inches compared to Product B at 1.5 inches. It also weighs slightly less at 1.44 pounds. If you carry your laptop frequently, the lower profile and lighter weight make Product A easier to pack. It slips into bags with minimal bulk.
