Who it fits
Good fit for
You should choose this monitor if you need a large, lightweight second screen for travel or remote work. The 17.3-inch size provides ample space for spreadsheets or video editing timelines. The 100% sRGB coverage ensures accurate colors for creative tasks. Its low weight makes it easy to pack in a laptop bag. The single USB-C connection simplifies setup with compatible laptops, tablets, or consoles. You will appreciate the frameless design and included stand for stable placement.
Who should skip it
Skip this option if you require a high-refresh-rate display for competitive gaming. The 60Hz panel may feel limited for fast-paced FPS titles. You should also look elsewhere if your device lacks USB-C with DisplayPort Alt-Mode support, as this monitor needs that specific port for power and video. The included 30W charger may be insufficient for some high-power laptops. Additionally, if you need built-in brightness controls or advanced picture settings beyond the menu wheel, this basic interface might not meet your needs.
Verdict: This portable monitor delivers a large, lightweight FHD screen with good color accuracy for mobile professionals. It is a practical choice for travelers who need extra display real estate without the bulk of a traditional monitor.
Key specs explained
Screen Size: 17.3 inch
This diagonal measurement gives you a large viewing area that fits comfortably in most laptop bags. The extra width compared to 15-inch models helps with multitasking, allowing you to place windows side by side. This size is ideal for travelers who want a desktop-like experience on the go without carrying a bulky stationary monitor.
Resolution: 1920*1080
Full HD resolution provides sharp text and clear images for work and media. You get enough pixel density to read spreadsheets or browse the web without blurriness. This standard resolution is sufficient for most productivity tasks and casual gaming, ensuring that details remain distinct even when you view the screen from a normal distance.
Color Gamut: 100% sRGB
This coverage ensures colors appear accurate and vibrant for everyday content. You will see photos and videos as intended by their creators, without washed-out or overly saturated hues. This specification is crucial for anyone doing light photo editing or watching streaming services, as it matches the standard color space used by most web and digital media.
Refresh Rate: 60Hz
A 60Hz rate updates the image sixty times per second, providing smooth motion for video playback and general desktop use. You will notice less stuttering when scrolling through pages or watching movies. While not designed for high-end competitive gaming, this rate is standard for portable monitors and offers a fluid visual experience for daily tasks.
Weight: 1.71 pounds
This lightweight build makes the monitor easy to carry in a backpack or briefcase. You can take it to coffee shops, offices, or hotels without significant strain. The low weight supports its travel-focused design, allowing you to set up a dual-screen workspace anywhere without needing a heavy, stationary setup or dedicated carrying case.
Design and build quality
The listing describes an ultra-slim profile with a 0.22-inch thickness. This narrow frame allows the display to function as a nearly frameless unit. The unit weighs 1.71 pounds. This light mass supports frequent travel. You can carry it in most standard laptop bags without adding significant bulk. The physical dimensions are 15.5 inches in length and 9.6 inches in width. This layout provides a wide canvas for multitasking.
The finish features a low-reflective, non-glare panel. This choice reduces eye strain during long work sessions or gaming. The listing notes a scratch-proof magnetic smart cover. This accessory doubles as a stand. You can prop the monitor up for hands-free viewing. This design simplifies setup in various environments, from coffee shops to hotel desks.
Controls are managed via a friendly menu control wheel. This physical dial lets you adjust settings without using your computer. The listing also mentions built-in speakers and VESA mountability. These features add versatility. You can attach the monitor to a VESA arm for a more permanent desk setup. The frameless design and lightweight build make it suitable for mobile professionals who need a reliable secondary screen on the go.
Setup and everyday use
You connect this monitor using a single USB Type-C cable for both power and video signals. This works if your device supports Thunderbolt 3.0 or USB 3.1 Type-C with Display Port Alt-Mode. The listing notes a USB-C port on the right side is for OTG use only, not for power. You can also use the included mini-HDMI to HDMI cable or the USB-C to USB-A cable for older devices. The package includes a 30W wall charger, so you do not need to rely on your laptop’s USB port for power. This single-cable setup reduces clutter on your desk or in your travel bag. The monitor is plug-and-play, requiring no additional drivers. You can use it with PCs, laptops, MacBooks, and gaming consoles like PS4. The 60Hz refresh rate supports fast-moving content, making it suitable for FPS games and action movies. The 100% sRGB color gamut ensures accurate colors for daily tasks and media consumption. The non-glare panel helps reduce eye strain during long work sessions. The magnetic smart cover doubles as a stand, allowing you to position the screen at a comfortable angle. You can adjust settings using the built-in menu control wheel. The compact dimensions and 1.71-pound weight make it easy to carry for business trips or remote work. You get a large 17.3-inch display that fits well in most laptop bags, enhancing productivity by allowing side-by-side windows.
Before You Buy This Portable Monitor
Owning this 17.3-inch display requires checking your laptop’s output ports first. You need a device with Thunderbolt 3.0 or USB 3.1 Type-C supporting Display Port Alt-Mode for single-cable operation. If your computer lacks these, you must use the included mini-HDMI cable and a separate power source. The listing notes a USB-C port on the right is for OTG only, not power. Keep the magnetic cover clean to maintain its stand function. This model fits best for travelers needing a large screen without heavy bulk. It suits users prioritizing screen real estate over portability speed. Compare it against smaller 15.6-inch options if you carry gear in tight bags. The 100% sRGB coverage ensures accurate colors for creative work. Ensure your workspace has a flat surface for the magnetic cover to fold properly. This setup works well alongside your primary laptop for extended productivity sessions.
