The unit supports a 100Hz refresh rate when connected via cable. Wireless connectivity is available for mobile devices, though it limits the refresh rate to 60Hz. - 24-inch screen size with a slim 0.31-inch profile.

Who it fits
Good fit for
This monitor suits professionals who need a second screen for presentations or creative work away from a desk. The wireless feature works well with phones and tablets for quick mirroring. The 100Hz wired mode helps users who need smoother motion for gaming or video editing. The battery life allows for afternoon use without finding an outlet. The VESA mount option helps those who want to attach it to an arm or stand for better ergonomics.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you need a high refresh rate over Wi-Fi. Wireless connectivity is locked to 60Hz, which may not suit competitive gamers. The battery lasts only 2-3 hours, so you will need to recharge frequently during long sessions. If you require a larger 27-inch display, this 24-inch model is too small. Users who prefer a lighter, smaller 15.6-inch option might find this 5.5-pound unit too bulky for frequent travel.
Verdict: This monitor offers flexible connectivity with a built-in battery and a high refresh rate for wired use. It is a solid choice for mobile professionals who value wireless convenience and screen size.
EVICIV 24-Inch Key Specs Explained
Screen Size: 24"
A 24-inch display offers a large canvas for productivity. You gain significant screen real estate for multitasking, video editing, or gaming. This size fits well on desks and laps alike. It provides a comfortable viewing area without the bulk of a full-size desktop monitor. If you need more workspace than a 15.6-inch laptop screen, this size is a practical upgrade for mobile setups.
Refresh Rate: 100Hz
The monitor supports a 100Hz refresh rate when connected via cable. This allows for smoother motion and reduced blur compared to standard 60Hz panels. It is beneficial for fast-paced gaming or scrolling through dense text. Note that wireless connections are limited to 60Hz. You should use a wired link to access this higher speed for the best visual performance.
Weight: 5.5 pounds
This portable monitor weighs 5.5 pounds. It is lightweight enough to carry in a backpack for travel. However, it is heavier than smaller 13 or 15-inch models. You should plan for a sturdy bag to protect it. The weight provides a stable base that resists tipping. It balances portability with the structural needs of a larger 24-inch panel.
Connectivity: 1x HDMI, 2x Type-C
The device includes one HDMI port and two Type-C ports. This variety lets you connect to various devices, including older laptops and modern smartphones. You can choose the connection method that best suits your hardware. Using a cable ensures stable performance and access to the full 100Hz refresh rate. It provides flexibility for different laptop setups and docking stations.
Design And Build Quality
According to the listing, the EVICIV P156AHBW measures 21.5 inches wide by 12.5 inches high, with a slim profile of 0.31 inches in depth. The unit weighs 5.5 pounds. These dimensions place it in the mid-range for portable displays, offering substantial screen area without excessive bulk. The 24-inch size provides ample space for multitasking, though the 5.5-pound weight requires a stable surface for comfortable use. You should consider how this mass affects your travel setup, as it is heavier than ultra-light models.
The display features a black finish, which helps reduce glare and blends with most laptop keyboards. Connectivity includes one HDMI port and two Type-C ports, allowing flexible wired connections for the 100Hz refresh rate. The listing notes a built-in 10000mAh battery that supports wireless operation for two to three hours at standard brightness. This internal power source removes the need for a constant wall outlet, enhancing mobility for presentations or remote work.
VESA mounting compatibility is listed as 100x100mm with M4x5mm screws, enabling you to attach the monitor to arms or stands. A gravity sensor allows automatic screen rotation when connected to mobile devices. This feature simplifies orientation changes without manual menu adjustments. The combination of wireless capability and wired performance options means you can switch between mobility and high-refresh-rate stability as your task demands. The design prioritizes versatility over minimalism, catering to users who need both portable freedom and desktop-like performance.
Setup And Daily Use Guide
You can operate this monitor in two distinct modes, each suited for different workflows. For wireless use, the integrated 10000mAh battery supports up to three hours of continuous operation at standard brightness. This allows you to present content or extend your desktop without being tethered to a power outlet. The wireless connection relies on Miracast or AirPlay protocols. Note that this mode is limited to a 60Hz refresh rate. If you require the full 100Hz performance for gaming or high-frame-rate creative work, you must switch to a wired connection. The unit includes one HDMI port and two Type-C ports to facilitate this stable, low-latency link. Setting up the wired mode is straightforward: connect your device via cable and select the appropriate input. The monitor also features a gravity sensor. When connected to a mobile device, the screen automatically rotates to match your orientation. This eliminates the need to navigate complex display settings manually. You can adjust the viewing angle instantly. The display is thin at 0.31 inches and weighs 5.5 pounds, making it easy to reposition on a desk or lap. It also supports VESA mounting with a 100x100mm pattern if you prefer a fixed setup. Fast charging restores the battery to full capacity in two hours, ensuring you are ready for your next session. You simply plug in the charger and wait. The design prioritizes flexibility, allowing you to choose between wireless convenience and wired performance based on your immediate needs.
Before You Buy This Monitor
You should verify your device’s compatibility before purchasing. This model uses Miracast and AirPlay for wireless connections. Not all laptops or phones support these protocols. You must check your source device specifications to ensure seamless pairing. The wireless mode caps at 60Hz. If you require the full 100Hz refresh rate for gaming or high-frame creative work, you must use a wired connection via HDMI or Type-C. Keep your charging cables handy for those high-performance moments. The included 10000mAh battery provides two to three hours of use. You will need to plan around this limited runtime for all-day travel. Regularly clean the screen with a dry cloth to maintain clarity. This unit fits well alongside other portable setups, offering unique wireless freedom. However, its reliance on specific wireless standards means it may not suit every user’s existing hardware ecosystem. Consider your primary use case carefully.
Check before you buy
